Distance · Swimming highlight reels
The distance recruiting highlight every swimming athlete needs.
Upload your swimming game footage and add the athlete's position. AI finds likely plays and cuts downtime; you review the results and choose what belongs in the recruiting reel.
Position context for distance highlights
Add Distance to the athlete profile so analysis can use role-specific swimming context.
Review the detected plays and choose the moments that best show the athlete's work as a distance.
Make a Highlight or Recruiting Highlight, then download the MP4 or send its unlisted link yourself.
What you can make from your swimming film
One upload, three ways to watch it. Pick the one that fits who is watching.
Highlight
Vertical 9:16, 30–90 seconds, sound on
For: Family, and your athlete's social media
Post it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
Recruiting Highlight
Landscape 16:9, up to 20 plays, silent
For: College coaches and recruiting services
Send it to a coach, or attach it to a recruiting profile.
Game Tape
Landscape 16:9, every detected play, no length cap
For: Coaches, your team, post-game review
Watch it back play by play with your athlete or their coach.
Your film stays yours: it is private to your account, and nobody sees a reel unless you share its link.
Distance highlight reel FAQ
How does NextPlay's AI know what plays matter for a distance?
Add Distance to the athlete profile and NextPlay uses that role as context while it analyzes the swimming footage. AI finds likely plays and cuts downtime, but you review the results and choose which moments belong in the reel; it does not identify an athlete by jersey number.
How long should a distance recruiting reel be?
Most college coaches open a recruiting reel for 60–90 seconds. NextPlay's Recruiting Highlight is built for that audience — landscape, muted, ordered for impact — and when you share it you can pick a 15, 60, or 90-second length right from the share sheet, all from the same upload.
Is NextPlay free for distances starting out in swimming?
NextPlay is a paid product. Plans start at $14.99/month for unlimited uploads and unlimited highlight reels, with full-game Game Tape included, and there is no watermark on any plan. You can cancel at any time.
Can I share my distance highlight reel directly with college coaches?
Yes. Download the Recruiting Highlight MP4 or send its unlisted share link yourself. A view count can show that the link was opened, but it does not identify which coach watched it.
