For every parent in the bleachers · 41 sports

Their highlight reel
is already sitting
on your phone.

Your kid doesn’t have a content creator following them — you’re it. Upload the random clips off your phone, all at once, and NextPlay finds the plays and cuts the reel: one for the group chat, one a college coach will actually watch.

Your videos are yours. Share with a link when you choose — coaches only see what you send them.

Verified footage

You own the account. Delete videos, reels, and athlete profiles anytime — gone for good.

No model training

We do not train or fine-tune AI models on athlete footage. Processing is for creating your videos.

Questions parents actually ask

What is NextPlay?

NextPlay turns the game footage on your phone into highlights, recruiting-format reels, and coach-ready game film. Upload phone clips or long game tape, then review, share, and download the results on the web or in the iPhone app.

Do I need to know how to edit video?

No. You upload the footage and NextPlay's AI finds the plays, cuts the reel, and adds the polish — color grades, transitions, and ready-to-post captions for your socials. If you can take a video at the game, you can make a highlight reel.

What is the Hype Reel?

It is a roughly 30-second vertical cut built for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Every other view plays your whole reel; the Hype Reel keeps only the strongest plays and joins them with hard cuts. It is generated alongside your other cuts, so it is ready without being asked for. It does not change the color of your footage, and you add the trending audio you want when you post.

Is my athlete's footage private?

Yes. Videos are private by default and sharing requires an explicit action by you. NextPlay does not train or fine-tune AI models on your footage; processing uses providers only to analyze and render your videos.

Which sports does NextPlay support?

NextPlay supports 40+ sports including basketball, football, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, wrestling, swimming, track and field, tennis, hockey, rugby, golf, cheerleading, gymnastics, rowing, fencing, pickleball, padel, and more.

Can I use NextPlay for recruiting?

Yes. NextPlay can create landscape recruiting highlights, downloadable MP4s, tracked share links, and unlisted YouTube exports you can send to coaches or paste into recruiting sites. It does not automatically contact coaches or generate school matches.

How much video can I upload?

NextPlay supports local video files up to 25GB and source videos up to 6 hours — a pocketful of 20-second clips or a whole tournament tape. Long uploads depend on file size, Wi-Fi quality, transcode time, and AI analysis time.

Does the iPhone app keep uploads running in the background?

Yes. The iPhone and iPad app uses native background transfer, so you can lock your phone or leave the app and the upload keeps moving. If your account is behind the latest App Store build, NextPlay shows an update notice until the new version opens.

What happens if an upload is interrupted?

You don't lose your progress. NextPlay tracks how much of the file already arrived, and uploads resume from where they stopped — on the web after re-selecting the original file, and in the app automatically the next time you open it.

Can I upload videos from Hudl?

Not from a Hudl link directly. NextPlay ingests local video files, not authenticated player links. Download or request the MP4 file first, then upload that file to NextPlay.
