How to Make a Flag Football Highlight Reel

Flag football deserves its own highlight workflow. Record the route, catch, run or flag pull clearly enough that a viewer can follow the play. NextPlay lists Flag Football separately from tackle football when you choose a sport.
1. Record more than the finish
For a receiver, keep the route and catch together. For a passer, show the setup and throw. For a defensive play, keep the pursuit and flag pull in frame rather than recording only the celebration.
Include passes, catches, interceptions and other clearly visible contributions that show the athlete’s role. Leave enough room in the shot for movement across the field.
2. Choose Flag Football on upload
Select Flag Football for your local footage, rather than the tackle-football option. Use My athlete for clips you filmed around one player. The finished highlight starts with the action you kept in frame.
For a wide team recording, choose Coach Film and remove the plays that are not your athlete’s. NextPlay does not automatically find a single player throughout team footage.
3. Review the action and the context
Watch the setup and finish of every selected play. Make sure a flag pull, catch or interception is actually visible and that the clip does not stop before the outcome.
Follow the requirements of the person you are sending the video to. Use a landscape Recruiting Highlight when appropriate, or a vertical Highlight for a quick family update.
4. Share the reel yourself
Copy the share link or download the MP4 from the finished reel. Check the link while signed out so you know the recipient can open it.
Include the athlete’s name, team and role in your own message. Keep claims about results and statistics accurate; making the video does not contact coaches or promise recruiting opportunities.
