Live Stream a Youth Game and Send One Link
By NextPlay · Updated
You can live stream your kid's game from the sideline with NextPlay Stream in the NextPlay iOS app (1.0.14+) and send one link for others to watch. Viewers need no account and no app; the link plays in any web browser with sound.
1. Before the game: check your plan, signal and sport
You need a paid plan to go live. Athlete is $9.99/month with 15 live hours, Family $19.99/month with 40, Team $99/month with 100 and Team Pro $199/month with 250. Hours are per calendar month and reset on the 1st; billing is on the web.
Use the NextPlay iOS app (1.0.14+) and check your signal where you will film. Pick the sport before going live. Creating an account is free; adding film needs a plan. Reels have no watermark, and you can cancel anytime.
2. Go live and share one link
Go live from the sideline in the app, then share the game's link with family or friends. That one link plays in any web browser with sound; viewers need no account and no app.
Viewers are about 8–10 seconds behind the action on the field. Allow for that delay when talking to someone who is watching from home.
3. Add team names and keep score if you want
You can add team names and keep the score from the filming screen. Update the score yourself as the game progresses.
The team names and score are optional. Leave the scoreboard off if you just want to film and share the game.
4. When the signal drops
If your signal drops, the link stays live and the stream picks up when you are back. Viewers keep the same link through the interruption.
Check your connection from the filming spot if the picture stops. A signal interruption is different from tapping End Game when you have finished filming.
5. End the game and make highlights from the recording
Tap End Game when you finish. The link stops playing within about two minutes and says the game ended.
The recording lands in your library so the AI can cut highlights from the game you streamed. Full game film is analysed play by play; a full game takes over an hour to analyse. A Game Tape is every detected play of a game, in order, nothing left out; the cut is complete, never trimmed to a runtime.
